Red Sox Baseball

This baseball was given to Mystic Seaport by the Boston Red Sox following their successful home game against the Kansas City Royals on July 18, 2014. In honor of the Morgan’s visit to Boston, the Red Sox named that game night “Mystic Seaport Night–A Whale of a Game” and hosted a number of special activities related to the Voyage and whales in Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Captain Kip Files threw the opening pitch, and Mystic Seaport shared videos from whale sightings on Stellwagen Bank. This baseball, while not the exact one pitched, was used in the game and is signed by Captain Files, Boston Red Sox President and CEO Larry Lucchino, and Mystic Seaport President Steve White.
