Log: June 21, 1882

The CHARLES W. MORGAN was sailing on her 12th voyage off the coast of New Zealand, near popular whaling grounds.  The log entry for this day states, “First part weather thick and rainy with squalls from NNW.  Middle part rainy  Latter wind hauld to SE   weather foggy received from shore two quarters of Beef and sack of Potatoes also boat load of Wood.  Middle and Latter rain”
