Log: June 15, 1886

The CHARLES W. MORGAN is just 2 days away from arriving home in New Bedford, MA on her 12th voyage.  The log entry for this day states, “This morning we got up cutting gear & after breakfast proceeded to cut in our little whale, finishing at10 ½ A M. he will probably make 15 Bbls  We have minced up the blubber & put it in Casks. At writing the wind is inclined to head us off. Ship heading N. At 4 P. we were 60 miles South of Nornay? land. Lat 40..11 N. Lon 70..43 W”
