May 27, 1890: CHARLES W. MORGAN was sailing on her 16th voyage off the coast of Japan.  The log entry for this day states, “Today we have had Rain and fog nearly all day  toward night fog  cleared up some what and we saw Junks and other vessels in plenty. Land in sight”
