Log: June 4, 1842

The CHARLES W. MORGAN was sailing in the Central Pacific near South America on her maiden voyage under Captain Thomas Norton.  The log entry for this day states, “Begins with fine weather wind E. Commenced Cutting. finished at 12 oclock saw a breach, Middle and Last part a Boiling. Heading SSE.”
