The log entry for this day states, “Commences with fine weather steering E.S.E at 1 PM kept her off E.N.E. wind W.S.W. busily employed in Coopering oil latter part the wind hauled to the S W very light two Ships in sight so ends Lat 38..00 Longitude by Lunar 34..60 Long by Chro 36?..20”
