Log: July 23, 1842.

The CHARLES W. MORGAN was on her maiden voyage off the coast of South America.  The log entry for this day states, “Comcd with strong breezes from the E by N. at Daylight commenced Cutting. Middle finished; & set the T. Works a going. Last part caught a number of Dolphin. so Ends.”
