Log: June 18, 1910

CHARLES W. MORGAN was three months away from finishing her 32^nd voyage. Charlotte Church, wife of the Captain, assistant navigator, and keeper of the log writes:

“Lat 3-46S                              Barometer 30-02 ½

Long  18-45-45W                   Wind  SE

Sea    Smooth                          Force   Fresh

Weather  Good

This day had the usual SE breeze ship under all sail.  steering N x W. This PM washed deck.  As  usual mast heads up from day light until dark.  Pumps lights etc.  all attended.  So ends this day.  All well.”

Charlotte’s entries are precise and frequently witty.
